Supported Vessel Types

Pressure vessels can be configured for multiple filtration stages and process requirements.

Bag Filters

Bag filter systems for process filtration and industrial fluid handling applications.

Filter Separators

Filter separator vessels for reliable filtration of jet fuel, diesel and aviation gasoline.

Coalescers

Coalescer housings for separating water and solids from hydrocarbon streams.

Micronic Filters

Fine particulate filtration housings for applications requiring high fuel cleanliness.

Clay Filters

Clay treatment housings for removing surface-active agents, color bodies and additives where required.

Cartridge Systems

Cartridge filter systems for industrial, environmental, water treatment and process applications.

Relaxation Tanks for Safe Transfer

Static charge control can be just as important as filtration efficiency when handling hydrocarbon fuels downstream of filters.

After-filtration hold time.

Because filtration equipment is one of the strongest static generators in a fuel handling system, filtered product often needs controlled residence time before it enters equipment with vapor space. Vertical relaxation tanks provide that hold time in a compact pressure vessel layout.

See standard relaxation tank sizes.

Lemico relaxation tanks are designed around product, flow, pressure and operating requirements, with standard reference sizes available from 100 to 1,500 US gallons.

Standard Housing Design

Filter housings can be engineered around aviation fuel filtration standards, pressure vessel code requirements and service access needs.

Design & Construction

Housing designs can support EI 1596 design and construction requirements, with ASME Code Section VIII stamped and certified construction where required.

Vessel Construction

Welded carbon steel construction is typical, with other materials available on request depending on product compatibility and project specifications.

Design Pressure

Common design pressure is 150 psi at 250°F, with other design pressures available on request.

Connection Marking

Inlet, outlet and drain connections can be permanently marked for clear installation, inspection and maintenance.

Cartridge Mounting

Coalescer cartridge mounting can be configured with rod or screw-base styles and knife-edge cartridge mounting seals.

Coatings & Closures

Interior epoxy coating to EI 1541, prime-coated exterior, swing-bolt head closures and Buna-N O-ring closure seals can be provided.

Housing Options

Optional accessories can be selected around operating, safety, monitoring and maintenance requirements.

Air & Pressure Controls

Automatic air eliminator with check valve, pressure relief valve and differential pressure gauge options are available.

Water Management

Sampling probes and immersion heaters are available for selected vessel applications and operating environments.

Access Equipment

Working platform, ladder and headlift arrangements can be reviewed for larger housings and service requirements.

Inspection Access

Cleanout and inspection connections can be included where permitted by vessel design and project requirements.

Vertical Coalescer Separators

Vertical coalescer separator housings can be configured for commercial and military aviation fuel filtration duties.

Commercial aviation fuel.

Category C, Type S coalescer separator housings are used for commercial aviation fuel applications. Type S qualification is intended for filtration points where significant levels of water and dirt may be expected in the product.

Military fuel applications.

Category M, Type S coalescer separator housings support military F24, JP-8 or JP-5 fuel filtration requirements, with configurations reviewed around system flow rate, cartridge selection and installation needs.

Horizontal Coalescer Separators

Horizontal coalescer-separator housings can be configured for military mobile fueling operations where compact, lightweight packaging and high flow rates are important.

Category M, Type S-LW.

Type S-LW coalescer-separator housings are used for military mobile fueling applications where minimal water and particulate contamination are expected. Dual-stage systems support fuel-water separation and solids removal in a compact horizontal configuration.

Mobile fueling integration.

Horizontal housings can be reviewed for Category M fuels, quick-connect system integration, field identification, cartridge stability and service access requirements.

Standards

Configured around EI 1581, 7th Edition Category M, Type S-LW applications, with EI 1596 and ASME Code Section VIII construction requirements where applicable.

Construction

Welded carbon steel construction with epoxy-coated interior for durability and corrosion resistance.

Connections
