Gas Skids

Gas Filtration & Fuel Gas Conditioning Skids

Packaged gas skids that remove liquids and solids, regulate pressure and meter flow before gas reaches turbines, engines, burners or compressors. Vessels are built to ASME Section VIII with CRN registration for Canadian sites.

Also known as fuel gas conditioning skids, natural gas filtration skids, gas filter separator packages and pressure regulating and metering skids.

Gas skids with yellow gas piping, control valves and instrumentation

Clean, dry gas protects equipment.

Liquids, solids and aerosols in a gas stream damage turbines, engines, compressors and burners. A gas skid removes them before they reach the equipment.

Pressure vessels are our trade.

Lemico builds ASME Section VIII U and UM stamped vessels with CRN registration, and packages them with piping, valves, instruments and controls on one skid.

Fuel Gas Conditioning, Step by Step

A typical train. Stages are selected around gas quality and the equipment being supplied.

  1. ScrubberKnocks out bulk liquid slugs.
  2. Filter separatorCaptures solids and coalesces liquids.
  3. HeatingKeeps gas above its dew point.
  4. RegulationControls pressure with overpressure protection.
  5. MeteringMeasures gas for process or custody.
  6. End useTurbines, engines, burners or compressors.

Gas Skid Configurations

Fuel gas conditioning

Filtration, separation, heating and pressure regulation packaged to supply clean, stable fuel gas to turbines, generator sets and burners.

Gas filter separators

Two-stage vessels that capture solids and coalesce liquids out of the gas stream, with a liquid sump and level controls.

Coalescing & dry gas filters

High-efficiency coalescers for fine aerosols and dry gas filters for particulate, often in duplex arrangements for online changeout.

Scrubbers & knockout drums

Separators that remove bulk liquid slugs upstream of filtration and compression.

Pressure regulating & metering

Regulator runs with overpressure protection and gas metering for custody or process measurement.

Compressor station packages

Suction and discharge filtration packages for gas compressors, sized to the flow and pressure of the station.

Gas Filtration & Fuel Gas Conditioning Skid FAQ

Quick answers to common buyer questions.

What is a fuel gas conditioning skid?

A packaged system that filters, separates, heats and regulates natural gas so it reaches turbines, engines or burners clean, dry and at a stable pressure.

What is the difference between a gas filter separator and a coalescer?

A filter separator captures solids and larger liquid droplets in two stages. A coalescer targets fine liquid aerosols. Many skids use both, with a scrubber upstream for bulk liquids.

Are the vessels ASME and CRN registered?

Lemico builds vessels to ASME Section VIII, Division 1 with U and UM stamp capability and supports CRN registration for installation in Canadian provinces.

What do you need for a quote?

Gas composition, flow rate, operating and design pressure and temperature, expected liquids and solids, outlet requirements, area classification and site layout.
